Merino wool balaclava with bunny ears for babies and kids

This playful twist on our bestselling Elephant Hood features adorable bunny ears for an irresistible look, on the same stretchy merino wool balaclava families love.

Stays in place with a covered back elastic, and warms the head, neck and chest.

UNiQUE: special editions of familiar ManyMonths® favourites, each with a playful twist of its own.

Keeps Head, Neck & Chest Warm: Full coverage with no need for a separate scarf, staying securely in place all day long.

Covered Back Elastic: The carefully designed elastic is entirely encased in soft wool, for a snug and comfortable fit throughout the day.

Great for Teething & Babywearing: Merino wool stays warm even when damp, perfect for drooling little ones.

Ears with a Contrast: The inner ears are knitted wool in a contrasting colour.

Thoughtful Gift: Pair it with our matching Bunny Booties for a gift set that is hard to beat.

The beloved bunny ears are back, and cuter than ever.

Complete the Look: Bunny Booties and Long Cuff Baby Mittens.

Why Natural Merino Wool?

Warm Without Overheating: Cosy in the cold and comfortable when the weather turns milder.
Breathable on Active Days: Wool absorbs sweat and lets it evaporate, and stays warm even when damp.
Soft on the Skin: Smooth and comfortable, nothing like the wool jumpers you remember.
Less Washing: Wear daily, wash seldom. Wool naturally resists dirt and odours, and airing outdoors is usually enough.

Material

  • 100% merino wool rib in Expedition weight (approx. 380 gsm), custom-knitted with natural built-in stretch
  • Merino wool rib and all trims, from labels and threads to buttons and zips, tested for harmful substances to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class I: the strictest class, made for baby articles. Tested every year since the 2017/2018 collection
  • Inner ears in merino wool rib in a contrasting colour
  • Mulesing-free merino wool, free from superwash and moth treatments, coloured with safe dyes

Care Instructions
  • Hand wash or machine wash at a max. temperature of 30°C on a gentle wool cycle
  • When washing by hand, do not wring. Instead, press into a towel to remove excess water or machine spin at 400 rpm
  • Shape while damp and lay flat to dry
  • Do not tumble dry or bleach
  • We recommend airing wool garments outside to refresh them. It's unnecessary to wash after every use.
  • Use an enzyme-free wool detergent when washing your Natural Woollies, and let them rest between uses
  • Pure merino rib without elastane relaxes a little with wear and regains its shape in the wash

Manufacturer
  • Our manufacturing partner since 2005 is EcoTextile, a Scandinavian-owned, GOTS-certified sewing workshop in China.
  • EcoTextile has taken care of making our Natural Woollies since 2007. Their GOTS certification covers both environmental and social responsibility.

Design
  • Designed in Finland by our head designer Bettina Lindblom, who founded our company in 2002 and has created the MaM® Design and ManyMonths® brands.
  • Bettina is a mum of three with a master's degree in education. She has studied developmental and social psychology and taught social psychology at university. Our clothes are designed for how children develop, not just how tall they grow, with attachment parenting at heart.
  • Inspired by the four distinct Nordic seasons and made for family life all year round: from sunny days at the seaside to snowy weekends in the mountains, and cosy warmth at home on chilly winter days.
