Why Natural Merino Wool?

Warm Without Overheating: Cosy in the cold and comfortable when the weather turns milder.
Breathable on Active Days: Wool absorbs sweat and lets it evaporate, and stays warm even when damp.
Soft on the Skin: Smooth and comfortable, nothing like the wool jumpers you remember.
Less Washing: Wear daily, wash seldom. Wool naturally resists dirt and odours, and airing outdoors is usually enough.

Sizing

• Adventurer (1-2/2.5 years, 80-92/98 cm)
• Conqueror (3-4.5/5 years, 98-104/110 cm)
• Innovator (5-7/7.5 years, 110-122/128 cm)

Choose the size by your child's height rather than age. Our sizes are generous and our custom-knitted merino rib has a natural, built-in stretch, so there is no need to size up; between two sizes, take the larger one. Each size spans several stages of growth, so one piece is worn for many months, and often by the next child too.

See our Size Guide for help choosing the right size.

Material

• 100% merino wool rib in Expedition weight (approx. 380 gsm), custom-knitted with natural built-in stretch
• Merino wool rib and trims, from labels and threads to buttons and zips, tested for harmful substances to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class I: the strictest class, made for baby articles. Tested every year since the 2017/2018 collection
• Mulesing-free merino wool, free from superwash and moth treatments, coloured with safe dyes
• Dino spikes: soft, non-fraying, partly recycled (approx. 30%) polyester fleece, cut from leftover material from our babywearing cover production

Care Instructions

• Hand wash or machine wash at a max. temperature of 30°C on a gentle wool cycle
• When washing by hand, do not wring. Instead, press into a towel to remove excess water or machine spin at 400 rpm
• Shape while damp and lay flat to dry
• Do not tumble dry or bleach
• We recommend airing wool garments outside to refresh them. It's unnecessary to wash after every use.
• Use an enzyme-free wool detergent when washing your Natural Woollies, and let them rest between uses
• Pure merino rib without elastane relaxes a little with wear and regains its shape in the wash

Design

• Designed in Finland by our head designer Bettina Lindblom, who founded our company in 2002 and has created the MaM® Design and ManyMonths® brands.
• Bettina is a mum of three with a master's degree in education. She has studied developmental and social psychology and taught social psychology at university. Designed for how children develop, not just how tall they grow, with attachment parenting at heart.
• Inspired by the four distinct Nordic seasons and created in the Helsinki region, around the world's second-northernmost capital, where winter is the longest season of the year.
